Project Description

When a blazing fire swept through St. Joan of Arc Parish, the Reverend Andrew J. Corona and his parishioners transformed the tears and heartbreak they felt into the opportunity to plan for the future by rebuilding their church.

They called upon Tonn and Blank to help with this important mission. Hired as the General Contractor, Tonn and Blank Project Manager Brien Delich explained that Tonn and Blank’s role was more like a design/build.

“The primary challenge was to restore the church back to its condition before the fire,” explained Delich.“By looking at photos and sharing an exchange of ideas with the pastor,we were able to not only restore the church, but enhance it, as well.”

In addition to the installation of new cedar tongue and groove planking on the ceiling, new pews, carpet, and paint, other changes and additions included glass doors for better viewing from the narthex, a new sanctuary light with cover, a niche for the tabernacle, and the replacement of the St. Joan of Arc stained glass window.
