Pandemic Response – Our Team Creates Temporary Triage Facilities

Project News

Preparing for the patient surge is a challenge for all Healthcare Systems. We’ve moved quickly from preparedness to action in a matter of days to help fight against this public health crisis. Working with in-house architects, engineers, healthcare professionals and our construction crews, we are executing Temporary Triage Facilities (TTF) for 12 hospitals throughout Indiana and Illinois.

The TTF’s include infection control systems, finishes and seating for patients at the recommended 6’ spacing. The plan has controlled access points and designated paths for patients to return to their car or to another facility dependent on the level of care required. Strategically locating the TTF’s outside of the facility’s Emergency Department provides controlled and rapid triage screenings in an expeditious and safe manner.

  • TTF Highlights:
TTF drawings and processes were provided to nearly all Indiana hospitals at no charge
  • All materials used in the build were locally available
  • Went from approval to construction in days
  • Built in five days, the same amount of time as ordering/delivering a medical tent
  • Customizable to fit site and need
  • Expandable and convertible to meet current/future needs
