Franciscan Health Munster – Cancer Center

Project Completed in
Munster, IN

Project Description

The Cancer Center is a three-story, 83,500-square-foot addition that provides a healing space for those facing a tough challenge against cancer. The center includes two linear accelerators for radiation and oncology lab services, medical oncology infusion therapy with a 24-bay infusion center for chemotherapy, a full-service breast center with mammography screenings and bone density testing, and a retail center with apparel designed for cancer patients.

The center also has four state-of-the-art endoscopy suites, a pharmacy, a 50-person waiting area and physician suites.

Before a shovel took to the ground, Tonn and Blank worked to develop and modify the site for this comprehensive oncology and hematology project, working with the FAA and local railroad consultants to get special approval and permits for changing the landing plans of the local airport and right-of-way of the railroad. Our team also brought new electrical to the site changing it from 12.5 KVA to 34.7 KVA.
